One of the most popular permanent exhibition of the Janus Pannonius Museum presents some of the most significant artworks of the Hungarian painting scene's solitary giant, Tivadar Kosztka Csontvary (1853-1919). In addition to the his early study drawings, famous landscape paintings and the major works - such as Mary's Well in Nazareth, the Lonely Cedar and the Baalbek - provide a comprehensive overview of the of the artist's unique oeuvre.
