The characteristic building of the City History Museum which was built in the 18th century, is the oldest industrial monument, and used to be a tanner house before. Its permanent local history exhibition presents a rich collection of artefacts: objects, pictorials and documents from the liberation from the Ottoman rule (1686) up to the 1950s.  Several interiors and mock-ups make the exhibition more colorful, just like interiors from different ages, a huge collection of postcards and an exhibition on the 1940’s, which consists of relics and objects nowhere else to be seen.
